2019-2020 Young ATHENA leader, Trenn Moore has passed the torch to Parm Gulshan with a challenge to take the Young ATHENA Leadership
program to a new level.
Parm’s background is in Human Resources and she has an undergraduate degree in business marketing. Her clients are predominately small, start-up organizations. Parm is currently working on her Doctor of Education degree in Organizational Leadership and Development at Grand Canyon University. Her dissertation topic is exploring how women’s careers are advanced through mentoring using the ATHENA Leadership Model. “I have always been an advocate for women’s leadership and education.”
Parm states that she has high expectations of herself and therefore anticipates high expectations from other people. “I have to remember to take a step back and approach things with more grace and know that people are doing their best”.
She is always willing to volunteer and take risks that are uncertain. After many years in HR as an executive, she became a pilates instructor. She was working 9 to 5 corporate job and balancing by doing something fun. “My true authentic self is to teach and to give back to others”.
She takes advantage of the small and big wins. “I love to Celebrate by pampering myself and give my mind a little bit of a rest because my mind is constantly moving. It is important to take some time off”.
Parm grew up in Southern California and now resides in Scottsdale, Arizona with her husband and two dogs. She enjoys traveling and learning about new cultures, and anything to do with wine and food.
