Women in the workplace, from the male perspective

Date/Time
Thursday, November 1, 2018
11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Build Relationships: Connecting genuinely with those around you. A willingness to bond with others, profoundly and productively, with trust and respect; reaches beyond status and self-interest in search of meaningful connections. Leaders engage, empower and trust

Misconceptions and myths can hinder our ability to build relationships. By recognizing that different gender and cultures respond to formality differently, perceive time differently and express themselves differently, you can market, sell, manage or negotiate more effectively.  By learning about each other’s customs, habits and expectations for work flow, you can build better team and business relationships.

Our seed thought leader will be Doug Bruhnke with Global Chamber.  Doug will share his experiences and provide advice on:

Male perceptions

What misconceptions can trip up relationships

What women can do more effectively to build their business or brand image

Doug is the founder/CEO of Global Chamber®, the only chamber of commerce with chapters and reach in 525 metro areas, designed to help companies grow across metros and borders through a unique global connections system. Doug was born in Mt. Kisco, New York and is a two-time expat with the Dupont Company (Tokyo & Singapore). He has worked in nearly every global market segment with travel to over 60 countries. Besides his work with Global Chamber®, he is a member of the Arizona District Export Council, regional advisor for U.S. Global Leadership Coalition and past president of Global Ties Arizona. He has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from University of Utah and an EMBA from Michigan State University.

Join us as for a discussion and personal reflection on how you can Build Relationships.
